The race to secure a place at next year’s Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 will resume when a thrilling Hero Hockey World League Semi-Final competition gets underway at London’s Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

European champions The Netherlands are seen by many as the likely front runners in Pool B, have arrive in London with a squad packed with the usual flair.

Someone to watch out is teenage sensation Jorrit Croon, the young forward who celebrated his 18th birthday at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games where his team finished in fourth position, is likely to be central figure.

Only 17 years young, Jorrit got the ultimate dream call from coach Max Caldas saying that he was included in the training group of Dutch National Team Men.

The striker made his debut at the training camp in and against Argentina in January 2016 when he was 17 years, four months and 15 days was old and became the youngest ever debutant.

For years he played for Alecto and in 2014 he moved to his current club HGC.Where he debuted in the league with sixteen years and 29 days.
